I have just given a presentation on transhumanism from the virtual reality of Second Life to the science-art festival "26 000 años luz" in Barcelona, organized by the artistic scientific group El Club de los Astronautas. One of the staff came to see me in Second Life, and I gave a power point -like presentation with audio via Skype.
I had a few interesting questions - the most interesting were "haven't you any curiosity to experience death?", to which I replied "about as much as to visit the dentist next week", and about the concept of "living in VR": uploading to a VR world and living there. The guy in the picture below is asking about the possibility of virtual life after death.
About 100 persons attended the festival, which was an interesting mix of scientific ideas and artistic-musical experimentation.

Presentación en directa también en el mundo real, en "26 000 años luz", que es el nombre del mini-festival astro-artístico organizado por El Club de los Astronautas el día 22 de Abril en Barcelona en una galería de arte en colaboración con Amnistía Internacional de Cataluña.
